Emergency Preparedness Series: Incident Management Teams and the Kentucky Qualification System

Date: January 23, 2025
Time: 11:00 AM-12:00 PM Eastern
Location: Virtual
In a disaster, many counties request an Incident Management Team (IMT) to supplement their own resources. The Kentucky Qualification System (KQS) represents the Commonwealth’s implementation of the National Qualification System. The overall strategic goal of KQS is to establish and maintain credentialed personnel for IMT’s and Assistance Teams that can help within the Commonwealth, or outside the state, in response to disasters, incidents, and planned events. Elected officials will find the awareness of this program and the capabilities of these teams very useful, particularly during disasters and associated planning. • Speaker: Dr. Charlie Harris, KQS Implementation Coordinator, KYEM
