Counties across Kentucky are taking decisive action in the fight against opioid addiction, using opioid settlement funds to implement innovative overdose prevention and response strategies.

During a recent KACo webinar, several of these best practices and community-driven approaches were highlighted, including Quick Response Teams (QRTs)—multidisciplinary teams composed of law enforcement, healthcare professionals, and peer recovery specialists who follow up with individuals who have overdosed.
