Congratulations to Harlan County for receiving a NACo Achievement Award for the innovative Harlan County Drug Summit.
The 2024 summit, the third annual event, attracted more than 200 attendees and nearly 30 exhibitors, providing valuable information on addressing addiction, with a strong emphasis on prevention.
“The Harlan County Drug Summit is a wonderful annual event that brings everyone together under the same roof for one day who are working to combat the adverse impacts of addiction through prevention, treatment, education and recovery programs. This event allows them to learn from each other, share resources and collaborate moving forward,” Harlan County Judge/Executive Dan Mosley said.
“Harlan County has a recovery ecosystem that I’m extremely proud to work alongside to find solutions to the challenge of our time, this horrible drug problem that has been complicated by fentanyl pouring through our southern border," Mosley added. "I would like to thank NACo for selecting the Harlan County Drug Summit for this national achievement award.”
