Wednesday marked the 22nd legislative day and the short, 30-day session is wrapping up. Despite the limited number of work days remaining and legislation moving quickly, bills focused on county legislative priorities are on the move.

As we approached the halfway mark of the 30-day legislative session this week, the pace of legislation is moving rapidly. Many bills filed this week have already had committee hearings, and some even have been voted on within their originating chamber.

On Tuesday, Representative Sal Santoro filed House Bill 561 which increases the gas tax, adds fees for electric vehicles and modifies the state’s road funding formulas.

This week’s snow and ice storms seemed to affect all facets of daily life across the Commonwealth, and the General Assembly was no exception.

Due to forecasts of continuing inclement weather, the General Assembly has delayed a return to session.
