Certification Program

 County officials who earn training hours at KACo workshops are eligible for the KACo certification program. All hours can be carried forward to the next calendar year to be applied toward certification.

Eligible county officials must complete 40 training hours at KACo training workshops to be eligible for one of the following Certified designations:

Certified County Judge/Executive

Certified Magistrate

Certified Commissioner

Certified County Clerk

Certified County Sheriff

Certified County Jailer

Eligible county officials must complete 80 training hours at KACo training workshops to be eligible for the Advanced Level designation.

Eligible county officials must complete 120 training hours at KACo training workshops to be eligible for the Scholar Level designation.

What are the benefits of the KACo certification program?

A press release, which will include an appealing article about you, your certification, and your accomplishments will be sent to your local paper(s) so that your constituents can read about the diligent work you are putting into your elected position.

Your name, title, and county will appear in the County Line publication in the segment dedicated to honorees.

You will receive a handsome certificate that you can frame and put on your wall for all to see.
