2026 Opioid Solutions: July
Counties across Kentucky continue to face challenges in expanding recovery services due to workforce shortages, limited organizational capacity, and increasing community needs. This webinar will explore how counties can strategically invest opioid settlement funds to strengthen their local recovery infrastructure through innovative workforce development approaches.
Participants will learn about Recovery Corps, an AmeriCorps-supported program that places Recovery Navigators and Project Coordinators within host organizations to provide peer-based recovery support and build organizational capacity. Recovery Corps offers counties an opportunity to leverage lived experience, expand access to recovery services, and support community organizations working on the front lines of the overdose crisis.
The session will highlight how counties can partner with Recovery Corps host sites, Recovery Community Organizations, treatment providers, health departments, and other community partners to increase workforce capacity while advancing opioid abatement goals. Attendees will also learn how opioid settlement funds can support peer recovery services and sustainable workforce development strategies that strengthen local systems of care and improve outcomes for individuals and families affected by substance use disorder.
