Registration open for heavy equipment auction

More than 700 lots in surplus equipment to be sold
Governor's Office press release

Registration has now opened for the annual public auction for the commonwealth’s surplus property and heavy equipment, which will begin on Monday, Oct. 12, at 8 a.m. ET, and close on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 10 a.m. ET.

Gov. Andy Beshear said farmers, local governments, construction, transportation and logistics companies and others seeking competitive pricing on parts and equipment can now register to bid on more than 700 available lots online.

“Last year, the surplus equipment auction raised more than $2.8 million to support state transportation and property projects, while the equipment itself helps our farmers, local governments and businesses. This is a win-win,” Beshear said.

Proceeds from the sale will support projects at the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the Finance and Administration Cabinet’s Division of Surplus Properties.
