On behalf of the communities we are privileged to represent, the leadership of the Kentucky Association of Counties (KACo) condemns in no uncertain terms the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump.
We wish those injured, including the former President, a full and speedy recovery, and offer our deepest condolences to the families of the person killed and the bystanders affected during yesterday’s tragic event.
KACo strongly condemns any form of political violence. As county leaders, we believe deeply in our democratic system of government, and know it depends on peace and civility.
We stand united in our commitment to our counties, our Commonwealth and to our great nation.
