County attorneys elect new leadership

Madison County Attorney installed as president

The Kentucky County Attorneys Association has elected its 2026-28 Executive Board, with Madison County Attorney Jennie Haymond serving as president. 

The new board, which includes representatives from 11 counties across Kentucky, took office Oct. 1 and will serve a two-year term through September 2028.

KCAA Officers

  • President: Jennie Haymond, Madison County Attorney
    • Haymond also now serves as the KCAA representative on the KACo Board of Directors.

  • Vice-President: Jason Darnall, Marshall County Attorney
  • Past-President: Joe Ross, Logan County Attorney
  • Treasurer: Jordan Turner, Boone County Attorney
  • Secretary: Joe White, Clay County Attorney
  • NDAA Representative: Martin Hatfield, Pulaski County Attorney

At-Large Directors

  • Cade Foster, McCracken County Attorney
  • Angela Evans, Fayette County Attorney
  • Berry Baxter, Oldham County Attorney
  • Keith Craycraft, Montgomery County Attorney
  • Corey Thomas, Spencer County Attorney

The KCAA also selected five of their members to serve on the Prosecutors Advisory Council, the administrative body that oversees the Unified Prosecutorial System. The Prosecutors Advisory Council is made up of the Kentucky attorney general, five county attorneys, five commonwealth’s attorneys, and two citizen members.

The KCAA selected the following members:

  • Jennie Haymond, Madison County Attorney - Population 75,000 and above
  • Jason Darnall, Marshall County Attorney - Population 25,000 - 75,000
  • Jeff Traughber, Todd County Attorney - Population under 25,000
  • Stacy Tapke, Kenton County Attorney - At Large
  • Steve Gold, Henderson County Attorney - At Large
